Surrounded by resistance and tensions?

Surrounded by resistance and tensions, it's time to soften and release as we move through our days.

Being open is one of the single most important things we can do for ourselves. It's when we're open that we're able to receive the blessings and support that life offers.  Early on in life, we've unconsciously developed certain defenses that aid in protecting ourselves.  Although having a clear mental and emotional boundary is a sign of maturation, sometimes these barriers work against us shutting out feeling, intimacy and even love.

Reading about softening and being receptive is interesting, but how do we go about tapping into this felt sense of aliveness and learn to live from it?  The practice of yoga is exactly the way towards softening.  How amazing do you feel when you walk out of our studios?  How much lighter of mind and heart are you after a class?  Seriously, how much softer have we become?

The softness that has come from your investment on the mat dissolves our defenses, and an inner strength to remain open to possibilities allows our vision to clarify.  The clarity comes when we realize, if we're looking for love or friendship, it means first looking within to see where we're holding on or shutting down.  Secondly, it may mean to begin from a loving space rather than pursuing love.

This soften receptivity allows us to become more open as individuals and more expansive as souls.  As you've already seen, people, experiences, goals and such no longer elude us because we're blocking them with our resistance.  Life seems to be abundant and some of the stresses, fears and doubts of the past no longer haunt our present.

We trust you're having an amazing Summer.  Remember, stress is still stress whether it's June or January!  In other words, practice, practice, practice....All is coming.

With our palms together,

Inner Strength!
