Of course, eating well, resting and a consistent practice of yoga are all helpful.  And if we are willing to continue to be honest with ourselves, and delve deeper, we may discover that there is another underlying cause of exhaustion. 


Have you ever felt totally exhausted by sitting at work all day?  We haven’t moved an inch!  All we’ve been doing it exercising our fingers on the keyboard!  Then why the exhaustion we ask?  Well, it has something to do with the way we’re thinking, feeling and acting. 


The practice of yoga helps to develop our awareness and when placed in the right direction, we may discover that certain beliefs, behavior patterns or even a relationship we have are inconsistent with who we are.


Sometimes uncovered beliefs reveal to us that we think we have to be perfect at everything or we’ve been bending over backwards to gain others approval. 


When we do this deeper work, we may notice that a lot of our feelings of being run down or low energy have less to do with what we have on our plates and more to do with the fact that in our hearts, we would rather be doing something entirely different.

When we enter into the practice of yoga, we listen to what our hearts really need.   During the meditation in motion, the silent turning inwards of our energy brings clarity to the heart of the matter.  With courage and specific actions, the discoveries we make on the mat are then applied to all of our life situations.  This aligning with our true nature eventually will clear out all of the things in life that no longer serve us.

It is a process my friends, and the prize is in the process.
